Art at Our Lady of the Rosary RC VA Primary is an exciting part of school life that helps children express ideas, explore creativity and develop confidence in their own abilities. Through a carefully planned programme, pupils are encouraged to observe the world around them, try a range of materials and techniques, and learn how artists use colour, shape, pattern and form to communicate meaning. Lessons support fine motor skills and careful thinking, while also celebrating individual progress and teamwork through group activities and shared displays. We aim to create a positive, supportive environment where every child feels valued, proud of their work and ready to take creative risks. For parents, this approach means children will have regular opportunities to bring home artwork, talk about what inspired it and reflect on the skills they are developing—making art a meaningful and enjoyable experience across the year.
