Design & Technology

At Our Lady of the Rosary RC VA Primary, Design & Technology helps your child develop practical skills, creativity, and confidence through designing and making real products. In line with the National Curriculum for England, children learn how to plan, test, and improve their work while understanding the properties of materials, simple mechanisms, and everyday technologies. Lessons are designed to be engaging and age-appropriate, encouraging children to ask questions, work safely, and reflect on what works well and how ideas can be improved. Through a balanced approach of knowledge and hands-on experience, pupils build the foundations for future learning in technology, engineering, and design.
