Music is a very important part of the curriculum at our school.

Children have many opportunities to develop their singing skills. We hold weekly hymn practices and regularly sing as part of our assemblies. Performance opportunities include the Nativity production for Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils, an Easter Concert for Years 3 and 4, and a Summer Show for Years 5 and 6. 

Children are also encouraged to listen to and appreciate high-quality music from a wide range of genres, cultures and historical periods. Wherever possible, this is linked to cross-curricular learning, helping pupils to deepen their understanding of both music and other areas of the curriculum.
