At Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School, we believe that learning another language helps children develop confidence, curiosity and a greater understanding of the world around them.

French is taught across from Year 2 - Year 6. In Year 2, children are introduced to French through songs, games and interactive activities led by Mrs Allal, helping them develop an enjoyment of language learning from an early age.

Our older pupils benefit from specialist teaching delivered by a French teacher from our partner secondary school, St Bede's Catholic College. This provides children with high-quality language instruction and helps prepare them for the next stage of their language-learning journey.
